Since Mother's Day I've been at home. I've had an awful "grief attack", as Bob calls it. The week started with a migraine and after our visit to the Deputy Prosecutor I was ill for the remainder of the week. I requested a copy of the last doctor's evaluation, which turned out to be 21 pages long. As I read it I became amazingly angry that Andrew described every detail of the day that he shot Travis. No longer will I think that he possibly was so ill that he didn't understand what he was doing. He obviously knew every step. He also expressed no remorse except that he was in jail. It's taken me the entire week to digest the reality of all of this. I missed work and counseling. Caralee came over a couple of days and stayed with me. I'm glad that I have so many loved ones who are available when I call. I've called Becky, Sharon, Caralee, Beverly and Tina this week. I know that Randy was worried when he left town for a ball tournament this weekend, but I'm better now. I'm actually glad that I had the opportunity to face this now and not in the courtroom. We agreed with the Prosecutor that at this time we would not discuss any plea bargains. We want to see what the judge says on June 24th regarding Andrew's ability to stand trial. I have no doubt that jail is where he belongs. I only hope the jury agrees. I haven't felt up to adding a post this week. Sorry for the delay.
Travis, I know you're watching us and you're safe now. I pray that I'll always be able to hear your voice and see that loving face in my dreams. I love you so much, son. Mama
